Here are the step-by-step instructions for applying iron-on trim:

1. Preheat Iron: Set your iron to the Cotton Setting. Ensure that the steam function is turned off as steam is not needed for this process.

2. Prepare Fabric and Trim: Place your fabric on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Position the iron-on trim with the adhesive side facing down onto the fabric. Make sure the trim is aligned correctly according to your design.

3. Initial Pressing: Cover trim with cloth to prevent discoloration. Press the iron straight down onto the trim and fabric for approximately 10-15 seconds. This initial pressing will anchor the fabric and adhesive together securely.

4. Ironing: After the initial press, proceed to iron the rest of your trim using a back-and-forth motion until you have covered the entire area. Apply consistent pressure to ensure proper adhesion.

5. Second Pressing: Once the entire trim is ironed onto the fabric, turn the fused fabric and trim over. Press the iron onto the backside of the fabric for an additional 15-20 seconds. This step helps to reinforce the bond between the fabric and trim.

6. Cooling: Allow your fused trim to cool completely before handling or using your creation. This ensures that the adhesive has fully bonded with the fabric.

Following these instructions will help you achieve a securely attached iron-on trim for your fabric project. Enjoy creating your masterpiece!
