WHAT IF AN ITEM I'VE ORDERED IS OUT OF STOCK?
You will be advised of the out of stock item before the order ships. You may elect to have the item refunded or backordered. Items that are on backorder generally become available again within 30 business days. Backorders ship for free. If you need more specific information about a product's availability date, please contact us.
IS THERE A REQUIRED MINIMUM ORDER SIZE?
For all trims sold by the yard, the minimum order size is 1 yard.
HOW DO I ADD TRIM OR TULLE TO MY SHOPPING BAG?
All you need to do is enter the number of yards you are ordering. Then simply click "add to cart" and continue shopping or proceed to checkout. You can view the items in your cart at any time by clicking the shopping cart icon at the page's top right corner.
HOW CAN I BE SURE OF AN ITEM'S COLOR?
We do our best to describe an item's color in each description we write. We hold each trim to the window to observe the color in natural light. We discuss with our designers to create just the right color terms. In spite of our best intentions, we can never guarantee exact colors or color matching because of this simple fact: Variations in a monitor or mobile color settings are just too wide from device to device. This is why we strongly encourage you to order a sample swatch before purchasing your trim. Trust us, customers who follow this advice never regret this step. If you are concerned that a fabric may become sold out by the time you receive your swatch, you can always contact TRIMS BY THE YARD Customer Service to ask if this is likely to happen with the fabric you are sampling.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept Credit cards and Debit cards. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Visa Checkout, Pay Pal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay are all the methods of payment for convenience.
WILL A SALES TAX BE PLACED ON MY ORDER?
Only Texas customers are charged sales tax. If you live outside of Texas, then no sales tax will be applied to your purchase. If you are non-taxable entity in Texas, please contact us before placing your order.
WHAT IF I NEED TO MODIFY OR CANCEL MY ORDER AFTER IT HAS BEEN PLACED?
Please email our Customer Service department immediately and we will be more than happy to help you with your order. Customer Service hours are Monday through Thursday 9am to 5:00pm and Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm Central Standard Time.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE WHILE CHECKING OUT?
Verify that all of your information has been entered correctly, then make sure that your billing address matches your credit card/ bank information. If you still get an error message, you might consider calling your credit card company or bank to check that the billing address they have on file matches the one you have provided to us. If you are still receiving an error message, you can email our Customer Service department at during business hours (Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.)
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

I ORDERED A TRIM AND IT APPEARS DEFECTIVE OR HAS A FLAW IN IT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Trims By The Yard makes every effort to provide its customers with exceptional trim and other top-quality goods. In the event a trim or product arrives damaged or defective, we strongly recommend you contact us as soon as the defect is noticed. After 28 days from your order delivery date, we will no longer consider items for return.
WHAT IS TRIMS BY THE YARD'S EXCHANGE POLICY?
Products are only eligible to be returned for a refund and exchanges are not accepted at this time. We strongly encourage you to order a sample/swatch before you place a fabric or trim order.
WHAT SIZE ARE YOUR SWATCHES?
Trim swatches vary in size. Generally, our swatches are 6" long but they may be cut as small as 3" long.
WILL MY TRIM BE SHIPPED IN ONE CUT?
If your trim is less than the max continuous it will arrive to you as a continuous cut. If you order more than the max continuous it may come in 2 or more cuts but our Customer Service team will contact you in the event it does come in multiple cuts.
HOW DO I SET UP A WHOLESALE ACCOUNT WITH TRIMS BY THE YARD?
Qualified businesses may register a wholesale account through our parent company Expo International Inc. by visiting www.expointl.com.
DO YOU HAVE A PRINTED CATALOG OF YOUR FABRICS AND PRODUCTS?
Because our inventory is constantly changing, printing catalogs are not a practical option. Our website, however, is constantly being updated with new trims, tulle fabrics, and other products, so we recommend you check back often for new arrivals in all categories.
WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE? WHICH DESIGNERS DO YOU BUY FROM?
Our buyers are extremely discriminating about the fabric they acquire to sell online and in our stores. Most fabric available for sale does not meet our high standards, in fact. We source our trims from the finest textile houses around the world.
